Embroidery software for Barudan

Embroidery digitizing software for Barudan machines.

Qepe writes the U01 your Barudan reads, with the needle each colour runs on and Barudan’s own trim and stop codes, or a DSB with the same stitches under a DST header. It checks the stitches against the artwork and reads the file back before it saves it, on a Mac or a Windows PC.

Not released yet. From the first release: 7 days free, then €149 a year.

Launch offer: €99 for the first year, for the first 100 shops.

The Barudan hoops in Qepe

HoopEmbroidery field
Round 12 cm≈ 110 × 110 mm
Round 15 cm≈ 140 × 140 mm
Round 18 cm≈ 170 × 170 mm
Oblong 30 × 43 cm≈ 250 × 400 mm

≈ The maker publishes no field for this hoop: Qepe estimates it as the frame less 10 mm. Measure your own and add it as a custom hoop when it matters.

Set Qepe up for your Barudan

  1. Choose Barudan

Click the machine chip in the top bar and pick Barudan. From then on Qepe writes U01, counts 15 needles and offers the hoops above.

  2. Nothing to match for trims

U01 carries its own trim code, so the machine cuts where Qepe trims.

  3. Let Qepe pick the hoop

With no hoop chosen, Qepe picks the smallest that takes the design, or offers a 90° turn. A design larger than every hoop is split into hoopings, each its own file.

  4. Export U01

Qepe writes the file, reads it back and compares every needle point with the screen. A file that doesn’t match is never saved.

  • More threads than needles? Qepe adds a stop to rethread and says so.
Which file does a Barudan read?
U01, Barudan’s own format, and DSB, a DST header over the same stitches. Qepe writes both.
Do I need to set trims for a Barudan?
No. U01 and DSB carry their own trim code, so there is nothing to match on the machine.
