Set Qepe up for your Singer
Choose Singer
Click the machine chip in the top bar and pick Singer. From then on Qepe writes XXX, counts 1 needle and offers the hoops above.
Let Qepe pick the hoop
With no hoop chosen, Qepe picks the smallest that takes the design, or offers a 90° turn. A design larger than every hoop is split into hoopings, each its own file.
Export XXX
Qepe writes the file, reads it back and compares every needle point with the screen. A file that doesn’t match is never saved.
Questions
- Which file does a Singer embroidery machine read?
- XXX, Singer’s embroidery format. Qepe writes it by default.
- Can I digitize a logo for a home machine?
- Yes. Qepe sizes the design for the hoop, warns when letters are too small for the fabric, and writes the file the machine reads.

Where the machine figures come from
The model, needles, field and hoops as each maker or its dealer publishes them, collected in Qepe’s machine profiles between 12 and 21 October 2026. Machine names only say which machines Qepe writes for.
