Embroidery software for Melco
Embroidery digitizing software for Melco machines.
Qepe writes the EXP your Melco reads, or a DST, sized for the Summit’s field and its caps, and checks the design against the artwork before it reads the file back and saves it, on a Mac or a Windows PC.
Not released yet. From the first release: 7 days free, then €149 a year.
Launch offer: €99 for the first year, for the first 100 shops.

| Cap field 36 × 8 cm | 360 × 81 mm |
Set Qepe up for your Melco
Choose Melco
Click the machine chip in the top bar and pick Melco. From then on Qepe writes EXP, counts 16 needles and offers the hoops above.
Let Qepe pick the hoop
With no hoop chosen, Qepe picks the smallest that takes the design, or offers a 90° turn. A design larger than every hoop is split into hoopings, each its own file.
Export EXP
Qepe writes the file, reads it back and compares every needle point with the screen. A file that doesn’t match is never saved.
- Melco publishes the Summit’s fields, not its hoop sizes, so Qepe lists the largest field and the cap field; add your hoops as custom hoops.
- An EXP keeps no thread colours: Qepe’s worksheet lists the needles in stitch order for the operator.
Questions
- Which file does a Melco embroidery machine read?
- EXP, Melco’s stitch format, and DST; the Summit also reads Melco’s own ARTX and OFM, which Qepe doesn’t write. Qepe writes EXP and DST.

Where the machine figures come from
The model, needles, field and hoops as each maker or its dealer publishes them, collected in Qepe’s machine profiles between 12 and 21 October 2026. Machine names only say which machines Qepe writes for.
