Embroidery software for Janome

Embroidery digitizing software for Janome machines.

Qepe writes the JEF your Janome reads, with Janome’s colour numbers, sized for the MB-7 hoops and the fields Janome publishes, and checks the design against the artwork before it reads the file back and saves it, on a Mac or a Windows PC.

Not released yet. From the first release: 7 days free, then €149 a year.

Launch offer: €99 for the first year, for the first 100 shops.

Set Qepe up for your Janome

  1. Choose Janome

Click the machine chip in the top bar and pick Janome. From then on Qepe writes JEF, counts 7 needles and offers the hoops above.

  2. Let Qepe pick the hoop

With no hoop chosen, Qepe picks the smallest that takes the design, or offers a 90° turn. A design larger than every hoop is split into hoopings, each its own file.

  3. Export JEF

Qepe writes the file, reads it back and compares every needle point with the screen. A file that doesn’t match is never saved.

  • Qepe notes when a design passes JEF’s 200 × 200 mm limit.
Which file does a Janome embroidery machine read?
JEF, Janome’s own format, with Janome’s colour numbers; the MB-7 reads DST too. Qepe writes both.

Where the machine figures come from

  1. Specifications: janome.com.au

The model, needles, field and hoops as each maker or its dealer publishes them, collected in Qepe’s machine profiles between 12 and 21 October 2026. Machine names only say which machines Qepe writes for.
